How (And Why) You Should Give Yourself a Year-End Review
CELEBRATE THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS
When reviewing the year, people often focus on what they want to improve instead of also celebrating their accomplishments (отмечать свои достижения). As though they’re not allowed to, especially if it involves something that is not fully complete. This vision of oneself and accomplishments can lead to a negative spiral, that you never succeed in anything, [and] thoughts of not being good enough. Of course, such an approach is not productive.
However, if you review the new skills you’ve acquired, you’ll be able to summarize all of the experiences you had and where you became stronger. Once you identify your new skills, double down (удвойте усилия) on what you learned in the prior year. Make sure you either give yourself a chance to continue practicing that skill or search for opportunities that allow you to learn, grow, and excel.
Most people accomplish (достигают, совершают) way more than they think, and putting pencil to paper can be really eye-opening. So do celebrate your accomplishments – this will also help you to build confidence and bring in more fulfilment in the long run.
