October 9 to 20, the New Manege will run an exhibition of jewellery (ювелирные изделия) and decorative arts. Three halls will host a display telling about the development of Russian jewellery for three centuries — from the 18th century to the present day.
By the late 19th century, Russia was an indisputable (несомненный, неоспоримый) jewellery leader. The works of goldsmiths and silversmiths of the late 18th—20th centuries, monuments of numismatics, phaleristics and medal art presented at the exhibition convey the spirit of their time, show the experience of Russian masters of the past. They are priceless as historical cultural heritage (наследие). The exhibition will present more than 220 unique items from the collection of the State Fund of Precious Metals and Precious Stones of the Russian Federation. Visitors will get acquainted with the jewellery by Fabergé, Ovchinnikov, Khlebnikov companies exhibited for the first time. Check out more on the website:
