The exhibition will run on the first floor of the Museum from October 2 till November 4
Visitors to the State Historical Museum will be able to literally touch the history. On October 2, the central building is launching an unusual exhibition, Touching Story. Visitors will be able to touch 3D copies of unique archaeological finds, landmark monuments of Kievan Rus and the Tsardom of Muscovy, including replicas (точные копии) of an elephant with hare’s ears bas-relief (барельеф с изображением слона с заячьими ушами) from Yuryev-Polsky town (13th century), a figure of an ancient shaman from the Galich treasure trove (Галичский клад, 200 BC), antique coins, a lion bas-relief (барельеф с изображением льва, 13th century), terracotta tiles (терракотовые изразцы) of the 17th century, ceremonial axes (парадные секиры, 700-600 BC). The replicas are 20 to 50 cm high, made of artificial marble and stone and bronze, with some copies made bigger to be easier to touch. The display includes 18 exhibits.
