First Conditional Sentences
if + present simple, … will + infinitive
First conditionals are used to talk about things which might happen in the future.
Example: If I have enough money, I’ll buy a new house with a swimming pool. — Если у меня будет достаточно денег, я куплю новый дом с бассейном.
Although we talk about possible things, which could happen in the future, we use a present tense in the if-clause. It can also be the present continuous, present perfect, or present perfect continuous.
Examples: 1. If you are feeling bored, I’ll sing you a song. — Если тебе (будет) скучно, я спою тебе песню. (The Present Continuous) 2. If I’ve finished writing my paper by tonight, I’ll go out with my friends. — Если я допишу работу до сегодняшнего вечера, я пойду погулять с друзьями. (The Present Perfect).
