Different spellings: British and American English
Here are some of the biggest differences between British and American English.
1. Words ending in -re. British words that end in -re mostly end in -er in American English: centre — center, theatre — theater, litre — liter.
2. Words ending in -our. British words ending in -our usually end in -or in American English: colour — color, humour — humor, neighbour — neighbor.
