How to Come Back Ready for Work after Long Holidays
Getting back to work and daily life after long holidays might be not an easy thing to do. But, actually, you can begin the new year in a good mood and very productively. Just do a few things that really help.
1. Get an early start. If you want to ease (облегчить, сделать удобнее) back into work, you’ve got to prepare. Get to bed early the night before, and get in a little earlier. That will mitigate the workload avalanche (множество, завал) and give you a good start.
2. Don’t schedule a ton of meetings and deadlines during your first day back. That’ll just leave you feeling overwhelmed and behind on your work. Instead of this take several minutes to plan your day, and don’t be afraid to ask for support. Handle (займитесь, справьтесь) the priority tasks first.
3. Get caught up. Figure out (узнайте, выясните) if there were any major events or changes that happened while you were gone. This way, you’ll be generally up to speed before diving in deep into the day-to day details of your work.
