Networking has evolved, but there are still certain situations (like when making an ask to a senior manager) where formality prevails. So, consider skipping casual or unprofessional expressions during networking sessions. Such as:
“HEY, I’M ______”
Introducing yourself casually is fine in most situations. Saying “Hello” is a better bet (верная ставка). And giving both your first and last names is more professional.
