The 14th American Film Festival is an outstanding event intended to present the newest, most exciting and highly acclaimed (известные, хорошо принятые публикой) American movies to Russian audiences. This year, the movie theater “Karo 11 Oktyabr” will host the festival and entertain guests and visitors with dozens of long awaited premieres and special events.
During the festival, the new Abel Ferrara film “Thomas,” starring William Dafoe, will be presented. The filmmaker will personally come to Moscow to introduce his new movie to the public. Guests and visitors will also see the latest short-length film (короткометражный фильм) by Yorgos Lanthimos, featuring Matt Dillon, as well as this spring’s biggest festival hit “The Peanut Butter Falcon” (Арахисовый сокол), starring Shia LaBeouf, and many other exciting movies. Moreover, the new sci-fi thriller “Ad Astra” (К звездам) starring Brad Pitt, Donald Sutherland, Liv Tyler and Tommy Lee Jones is included in the program.
All films are shown in their original language with Russian subtitles. The program is constantly updated, with new films announced every day.
