Disadvantage: Lack of Relationship Building
Technology has reduced the amount of face-to-face interaction (личное общение). It is much easier to send a quick text rather than to engage in a phone call. Although this efficiency is certainly a benefit, there is value to the chit-chat (болтовня) that’s now becoming lost. Relationships are built when a business knows its customer and discovers opportunities to serve them more effectively through personal interactions.
