The exhibition of the Norwegian expressionist Edvard Munch started at the State Tretyakov Gallery.
Visitors can see 70 paintings and 30 graphic works, photographs and memorabilia (предметы коллекционирования) from the Munch Museum in Oslo and the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts. This is the first exhibition in Russia to display the artist’s legacy (творчество) in full.
The exhibits will include the famous painting ‘The Scream’, whose version is displayed at the Munch Museum. The exhibition will have a separate section “Munch and Dostoevsky” about the influence (влияние) of Fyodor Dostoevsky on Munch’s worldview and visual thinking.
