Three Ways to Cope with Anxiety in the Workplace
Here are the three practices that can help you cope with anxiety in the workplace.
1. Go for a walk– when your body tells you to escape, just comply (подчиняться). It’s easy to take a little walk and mask it as a coffee break. These few minutes away from the office gives some time to collect your thoughts and identify what may be at the root of your anxiety.
2. Work from home when you need to– if you wake up with a sense of dread (ощущение безысходности) and you don’t need to be in the office, just stay home. You can do a lot at home that you can’t at work. If working working from home is not a option, take a sick day to recuperate (восстановить силы).
3. Protect your personal time– long hours pose a threat to the things that keep you mentally healthy, like therapy, sleep, and exercise. It isn’t easy, but set boundaries wherever you can ensure work doesn’t become your whole life.
