This year the TERRITORY Festival is presenting its 13th edition. Over the years the festival managed to stay relevant (значимый) by embracing (охватывая) the most innovative and cutting-edge trends in world theater. The festival has several artistic directors, including such big names as Kirill Serebrennikov (Artistic Director of Gogol Center); Yevgeny Mironov (Artistic Director of Theater of Nations); and Vasily Tsereteli (Executive Director of Moscow Museum of Modern Art). The festival started last week, but you can still catch the dance performance “Whist” by U.K. dance company AFE and “The Museum Of Fiction” ̶ a video installation based on Macbeth by Argentinian director Matias Umpierrez and Canadian director Robert Lepage, both at the MMOMA branch (филиал) on Gogolevsky Bulvar. Two other great productions are the serialized theater production “Orphic Games. Punk-Makrame” at the Stanislavsky Electrotheater and “Living Room Dancers” by Swiss director Nicole Seiler at the New Space of the Theater of Nations.
