Can for Requests
Can is used to make requests. Here are some examples:
Example: Can you pass the salt please?- Можешь передать соль, пожалуйста?
Example: Can you turn off the music?- Можешь выключить музыку?
This is not the most polite way to request something, but it is common in English with friends or family.
